Q: How can I contact the teacher? A: You can contact me via your child's Class Dojo account, or you can email me at [email protected]. If it is an urgent matter, please call the office at 808-305-3400 and they will connect your call to me. You can also attach a note in your child's planner.
Q: Can my child eat snacks? A: Yes! We allow students to eat snacks at recess times. Please make sure that your child does not bring snacks containing peanut/peanut butter. Please talk to your child about not sharing snacks with friends. Some students have severe allergies to things like milk proteins or peanuts or gluten and may be unaware of what they are eating when sharing.
Q: Can I bring treats for my child's birthday? A: Absolutely! However, we are no longer allowing cupcakes, cakes, candy, etc. We encourage pencils, party favors, a new game or book for the class, or healthy treats like fruit. Please contact the teacher in advance so we can plan the ideal time during the school day to sing Happy Birthday and share treats. Again, we ask that no child bring treats containing peanuts.
Q: What is your policy on peanuts? A: We are a NO PEANUT school! We have a history of students with peanut allergies ranging from mild to extremely dangerous. For our students' safety do NOT send your child to school or on field trips with peanut products. This includes peanut foods of any kind - peanut butter, peanut butter cups, peanut butter sandwich crackers, etc.
